An improved lost wax method for fabricating dental devices, a prefabricated incisal veneer (1) is selected from among a group of said veneers having predetermined shapes, shades, and sizes. Wax is applied (2) and (3) to the incisal veneer to create a wax buildup onto a model (4) or prefabricated coping (5). Subsequently, a sprue is attached to the applied wax (2) and (3) and the wax buildup is removed from the model (4) for investing and burnout to create a lost wax mold. For a crown with a substructure, the incisal veneer (1) and the coping (5) are both cast in place with press ceramic, press thermoplastic material, or by injecting a curable resin, composite, or epoxy material into the lost wax mold.
La présente invention concerne un procédé à cire perdue amélioré de fabrication de dispositifs dentaires, dans lequel on choisit une facette incisive préfabriquée (1) parmi un ensemble desdites facettes présentant des formes, nuances, et tailles prédéterminées. On applique de la cire (2) et (3) à la plaquette incisive pour produire une accumulation de cire sur un modèle (4) ou une chape préfabriquée (5). Ensuite, on fixe une tige de coulée à la cire appliquée (2) et (3) et on enlève l'accumulation de cire du modèle (4) pour la mise en revêtement et la caléfaction en vue de produire un moule à cire perdue. Pour une couronne à infrastructure, on coule sur place la facette incisive (1) et la chape (5) avec de la céramique pressée, un matériau thermoplastique pressé, ou par injection d'une résine durcissable, un matériau composite, ou un matériau époxyde dans le moule à cire perdue.
