There is provided a back scratcher or scrubber for injured persons who have discomfort when raising their arm over there shoulder or for elderly persons who do not have the strength to raise their arm over their shoulder to scrub their back. The back scratcher or scrubber comprises an elongate shaft having a curved portion. An engaging member is mounted on an end of the shaft for scratching a person's back. A resilient cover is provided to mount on the engaging member for scrubbing when using the back scratcher or scrubber for washing.
