The invention concerns a backbone osteosynthesis system comprising a rod (12), a vertebral member (2) including two branches (6) capable of receiving the rod between them, a collar (16) for preventing the branches (6) from being spaced, and a lock (18) for clamping the rod (12) and to be mounted mobile in rotation on the collar (16). Either one (18) of the collar (16) or the lock (18) being capable of receiving the other (16) of the flange or the lock for mounting the lock on the collar.
