- 12 - ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A frame construction bracket is used for installing a backing member extending between a pair of spaced-apart, parallel support members. The bracket includes an inner portion, an outer portion and a connecting portion extending between the inner portion and the outer portion. The outer portion has first, second and third thin, flat flanges.Connectors are used to connect the first flange to one of the support members and to connect the second and third flanges to the backing member. The connecting portion is a thin, flat member extending perpendicular to the second and third flanges. The inner portion has a thin, flat fourth flange extending perpendicularly from the connecting portion in the same direction as the second and third flanges. The backing member is received between the second and third flanges and the fourth flange.
