The invention provides a backreaming tool for expanding a pilot bore produced by a drill string, comprising a pneumatic perCussion hammer (1) in combination with a drill string, the drill string being rotatable and reversible through the pilot bore to effect backreaming by the pneumatic perCussion hammer. The pneumatic percussion hammer is longitudinally adjustable relative to the drill string. The arrangement is such that the compressed air supply to the working cylinder of the hammer is cut off when the hammer is longitudinally close to the end of the drill string, then restored as the hammer becomes more distant from the drill string.
L'invention concerne un outil d'alésage arrière destiné à élargir un forage pilote réalisé au moyen d'un train de forage. Ledit outil comporte un marteau pneumatique (1) associé à un train de forage, le train de forage pouvant être tourné et inversé dans le forage pilote de manière à réaliser un alésage arrière au moyen du marteau pneumatique. Le marteau pneumatique peut être réglé longitudinalement par rapport au train de forage. Le dispositif est conçu de manière que l'air comprimé alimenté dans le cylindre de travail du marteau soit coupé lorsque le marteau se trouve longitudinalement à proximité du train de forage, puis rétabli lorsque le marteau s'éloigne du train de forage.
