2103885 9213998 PCTABS00014 A retrofit for diverting water leaking into an elevated expansion joint (14) is formed by lowering an applicator (20) that carries an adhesively treated water run-off arrangement (21) into the joint and pressing the arrangement against inside walls of the joint with an expanding bladder (48 & 49) under fluid pressure. When the adhesive cures, reducing the pressure collapses the bladder (48 & 49) and allows withdrawal of the applicator.
