4th June 1991 - 1 - HC/ho 51192EP A ABSTRACT The invention refers to a backwashable filter device (10), especially for domestic water conduits, with: - an inlet (14) for raw water, a raw water chamber (22) connected to said inlet, - an outlet (16) for clean water, - a clean water chamber (30) connected to said outlet, - a filter element (24), -- which is arranged between the raw water chamber (22) and the clean water chamber (30) and -- which features a partial area (B), which is ineffective in normal operation and effective only in backwash opera- tion, - an outlet (42) for backwash water, which is connected to said partial area (B) by a conduit channel (40), so that - at least one separate conduit connection (30,34) is pro- vided from the clean water chamber (30) to said partial area (B) of the filter element (24), - a conduit area in said conduit connection is designed nozzle-like (30) in such a manner that clean water can be conducted from the clean water chamber at increased velocity against said partial area (B) of the filter element.
