The present invention provides novel recombinant baculovirus expression systems for expressing foreign genetic material in a host cell. Such expression systems are readily adapted to an automated method for expression foreign genetic material in a high throughput manner. In other aspects, the present invention features a novel automated method for determining the function of foreign genetic material by transfecting the same into a host by way of the recombinant baculovirus expression systems according to the present invention.

L'invention concerne des nouveaux systèmes d'expression de baculovirus recombinés, pour l'expression de matériel génétique étranger dans une cellule hôte. Lesdits systèmes d'expression s'adaptent facilement à un procédé automatisé pour l'expression de matériel génétique étranger, avec un rendement élevé. L'invention se rapporte également, sous un autre aspect, à un nouveau procédé automatisé pour la détermination de la fonction de matériel génétique étranger par la transfection de ce dernier, de sorte qu'il se transforme en hôte, au moyen des systèmes d'expression de baculovirus recombinés de l'invention.
