A liner for use in flexible bulk containers includes a tubular body section with at least one continuous baffle strip extending around the interior circumference of the body section, with the baffle strip attached to the body section at spaced apart intervals to form baffles defining four triangular shaped corners in the body section. The liner is formed on an apparatus having a feed path with feed rollers for feeding lengths of the liner material and the baffle strip material into contact with one another. The feed roller controlling the liner material has a variable speed control to allow longer lengths of the liner material to be placed adjacent the baffle strip. Heat sealers mounted along the feed path seal the lengths of baffle ribbon to the lengths of liner material at spaced apart intervals such that the longer lengths of the liner material form pockets between the ribbon and liner material. A cutter mounted adjacent the feed path cuts a length of the liner material, and a folding arm folds the cut length in half. The cut ends of the length of liner material are sealed with a band heat sealer mounted at the end of the feed path to form a tubular liner wherein the baffle strip defines triangular shaped corners in the liner.

La doublure est formée sur une installation comportant une voie d'amenée avec bobine dérouleuse et où le matériau de la doublure et les chicanes en bande sont mis en contact pour assemblage. La bobine dérouleuse possède une commande à vitesse variable pour assurer la livraison en longueurs différentes du matériau entrant dans la confection de la section tubulaire et des chicanes en bande. Des fers de thermoscellage distribués le long de la voie d'amenée scellent les bandes des chicanes au matériau formant la section tubulaire à intervalles réguliers, de telle sorte que le matériau forme des poches entre les bandes. Un couteau monté à proximité de la voie d'amenée sectionne les longueurs du matériau composant la doublure, et un bras replie le matériau sur lui-même. Les extrémités coupées de la longueur de matériau sont scellées à l'aide d'un thermoscelleur monté à l'extrémité de la voie d'amenée pour ainsi former une doublure tubulaire dans laquelle la bande de chicanes forme quatre coins.
