ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to an assembly of lay-flat plastics bags which comprises a plurality of lay-flat similar plastics bags, a back board for said bays, said stack of plastics bags being stacked in lay-flat condition geometrically aligned on said back board, first means for compressing said stack of plastics bags against said back board adjacent their top edges, second means for compressing said stack of plastics bags across their full width against said board adjacent their bottom edges whereby the depth of the stack is substantially the same at the top and bottom of the stack of bags, said plastics bags each having a severable clamping patch, said first means for compressing said bags adjacent their top edges extending through the severable patch of each of said plastics bags, the top bag in said stack being accessible adjacent its lower edge, the clamping pressure of said second clamping means being yieldable to permit the sliding of the top bag therefrom upon manual manipulation whereby the top bag can be released manually from said second clamping means and then severed from its clamping patch by a manual pull in a downward direction to release it from said assembly. - 1 -
