- 1 - Abstract The present invention relates to an improvement in a bag filter dust collector of the type having a filter cloth fitted to and supported by a retainer which has a frame structure having a cylindrical sectional shape to form a bag filter. A large number of these bag filters are suspended from a cell plate. Blow tubes to jet reverse cleaning air are arranged immediately above the filter bags. The improvement provides for the retainer to have one side with a relatively narrow width and another side with a relatively wide width and wherein the blow tubes cross the retainer at right angles in the area of the side having a greater width.
