BAG FOR DISPLAYING FOOD Abstract A bag (10) for packaging and displaying meat (58) or poultry (58) has a front and rear thermoplastic panel (12,14) joined at a fold line (16) at the bottom of the bag (10). An absorbent pad (28), having two impervious non-stick layers (32,34) sandwiching a non-woven absorbent layer (36), is positioned at the bottom of the bag (10). The pad (28) extends over both the front and rear panels (12,14) and is thermally welded to the panels. An opaque printing (48) is provided on the panels (12,14) and corres- ponds generally to the position of the pad (28).
