ABSTRACT BAIT ALIVE HARNESS is an apparatus that is environmental friendly to live bait. This is not a lure that impales the bait to allow the bait to slowly die and once dead is no longer of any use as a moving attraction to a fish and thus no longer a usefull bait. With BAIT ALIVE HARNESS the bait has the luxury of being able to move wherever it chooses unless attacked by a preditor. The harness itself encloses the bait in much the same manner as a life jacket encloses the human body. Portruding from the back of the harness is a hook that is then attached to a fishing line.
