A fish attractant device is presented, and designed particularly for sport ice fishing. The device is conical or funnel shaped, with a weighted small diameter end connected to a drop/retract line, and a large diameter open end with a releasable loose floating lid which covers a bait dispensing body; said lid remaining in place during decent because of the vortex of the water around the body; and once the device hits the bottom of the body of water, the lid falls open and dispenses bait.
