ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A baking oven has a baking chamber to which the hot air is supplied by a blower means via lateral air. channels , the blower means as well as the heating means are at least partially disposed above the baking chamber . Laterally, with respect to the baking chamber , there is disposed a flat humidifying means in the way of the air fed off the baking chamber through a suction opening disposed below, said air being fed again to the blower means from the humidifying means . Thereby the width of the baking oven can be kept low, keeping the humidifying effective.
