The invention relates to a balancing shaft, whose balancing weight (4) is located between two cylindrical bearing surfaces (2, 3) and which is configured as one piece with said weight. The end cross-sections (10, 11) of the balancing weight (4) are circular segments that are delimited by an arc (12) and a secant (13). The aim of the invention is to configure the balancing shaft in such a way that the mass effect and rigidity are optimal. To achieve this, the contours (15) of the balancing weight (4) on the plane (14) that is fixed by the secants (13) of the two end cross-sections (10, 11) taper from the two end cross-sections (10, 11) towards the longitudinal centre (18) and the contours (16) on the normal plane (17) form a straight line in relation to said plane (14).
L'invention concerne un arbre d'équilibrage formant un bloc avec son poids d'équilibrage (4) qui se trouve entre deux surfaces de logement cylindriques (2,3). Les sections frontales (10,11) des deux côtés du poids d'équilibrage (4) sont des segments de cercle définis par un arc de cercle (12) et une sécante (13). L'invention vise à perfectionner cet arbre d'équilibrage pour optimiser l'action de masse et la rigidité. A cet effet, le contour (15) du poids d'équilibrage (4) converge en continu dans le plan (14) représenté par les sécantes (13) des deux sections frontales (10,11), à partir de ces deux sections frontales (10,11) jusqu'au centre longitudinal (18), et le contour (16) est une droite dans un plan normal (17) relativement à ce plan (14).
