A bale wrapping machine for wrapping bales with a plastic sheet to create a bale column is provided. The bale wrapping machine has a wheeled base frame, the frame with a bale receiving end, bale discharging end and bale wrapping section between the receiving and discharging ends, the bale wrapping means witha fixed inner hoop and a rotating outer hoop, the rotating outer hoop with a spool for carrying plastic sheet, the spool fixed to the outer hoop at one end. The machine has a hydraulic ram at the bale receiving end for linear displacement ofa bale from the bale receiving end to the bale wrapping section. The machine hasa jack on the bale discharging end for lifting the bale discharging end.
