The invention concerns a ball-bearing coupler comprising a tubular muff joint (2) provided with an outer annular step (4), a tubular sleeve (3) whereon is coaxially fixed a cage for maintaining the balls (12) with orifices (10) for receiving the balls, and a socket (13) coaxial with the cage (6) and mounted thereon by means guiding (14, 15) the socket in rotation about the coupler longitudinal axis enabling an angular displacement (.alpha.) of the socket relatively to the cage between first and second positions, the socket comprising for each ball a first recess (16) extending opposite the corresponding orifice for the socket first position to form atop element retaining said ball in a position projecting inside the cage and a second recess (17) connected to the first recess by an inclined wall (18) and offset relatively to the first recess by an angle corresponding to the angular displacement for receiving said ball in a retracted position relatively to its projecting position for the socket second position.
Coupleur à billes comprenant un embout tubulaire mâle (2) pourvu d'un redan annulaire externe (4), un embout tubulaire femelle (3) sur lequel est fixée coaxialement une cage de maintien de billes (12) présentant des lumières (10) recevant les billes, et une douille (13) coaxiale à la cage (6) et montée sur celle-ci par des moyens de guidage (14, 15) de la douille en rotation autour de l'axe longitudinal (1) du coupleur permettant un débattement angulaire (.alpha.) de la douille par rapport à la cage entre des première et seconde positions, la douille comprenant pour chaque bille un premier chambrage (16) s'étendant en regard de la lumière correspondante pour la première position de la douille pour former une butée de maintien de la bille concernée dans une position en saillie à l'intérieur de la cage et un deuxième chambrage (17) relié au premier chambrage par une paroi inclinée (18) et décalé par rapport au premier chambrage d'un angle correspondant au débattement angulaire pour recevoir la bille concernée dans une position escamotée par rapport à sa position en saillie pour la seconde position de la douille.
