ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A ball joint assembly includes a ball stud and bearing sub-assembly that is economical to manufacture, strong, durable and long-lasting. The bearing is molded directly on the ball surface of the ball, thereby eliminating the need for precise tolerances in machining the ball. Microcavities formed on the ball surface facilitate the introduction of lubricant between the ball and the bearing. A two-piece stud and collar nut adds ease of manufacture.
Cette invention concerne une articulation à rotule composée d'une tige filetée se terminant par une boule et d'une cage de rotule robustes, durables et économiques à fabriquer. La cage étant surmoulée directement sur la rotule, il n'y a pas de tolérances serrées d'usinage à respecter. Des microcavités formées dans la surface de la rotule facilitent l'introduction de lubrifiant dans l'articulation. Un écrou d'assemblage à collet en deux-pièces ajoute à la facilité de fabrication.
