A compact fluorescent lamp in which the level of illumination is controlled by a triac dimmer. Premature turn off of the triac dimmer is avoided through the serial combination of at least one resistor and at least one capacitor forming a snubber placed across the output of the electromagnetic interference filter of the compact fluorescent lamp ballast. The snubber dampens oscillations generated within the compact fluorescent lamp whereby sufficient power is drawn by the compact fluorescent lamp to sustain conduction of the triac dimmer throughout the dimming range of the latter.

La présente invention concerne une lampe fluorescente compacte dans laquelle le niveau d'éclairement est régulé par un gradateur à triac. On évite un arrêt prématuré dudit gradateur à triac au moyen du montage en série d'au moins une résistance et d'au moins un condensateur formant un condensateur d'amortissement monté aux bornes de la sortie du filtre d'interférence électromagnétique du ballast de la lampe fluorescente compacte. Le condensateur d'amortissement amortit les oscillations produites dans la lampe fluorescente compacte, une puissance suffisante étant absorbée par ladite lampe fluorescente compacte de façon que la conduction du gradateur à triac soit maintenue dans la plage de gradation de ce dernier.
