A system and method providing a catheter assembly for engaging a stenosis. The assembly includes a catheter defining a first lumen and a second lumen spaced apart and disposed about a longitudinal axis. The catheter includes an opening in communication with the first lumen to define a flow path having an angle incident to the longitudinal axis. A first marker; and a second marker disposed on the catheter are spaced equidistantly from the opening. The assembly includes a balloon having a first end and a second end each sealed about the catheter and equidistantly from the opening to define a holding volume therebetween. The opening is disposed within the holding volume thereby placing the first lumen in sealed fluid communication with the holding volume. In a preferred embodiment, the catheter assembly includes a stent disposed about the balloon, and the balloon is configured to engage the stent with a stenosis.
L~invention concerne un système et un procédé proposant un ensemble de cathéter pour engager une sténose. L~ensemble comprend un cathéter définissant une première lumière et une deuxième lumière espacées l~une de l~autre et disposées le long d~un axe longitudinal. Le cathéter comprend une ouverture en communication avec la première lumière pour définir un passage de flux ayant un angle incident avec l~axe longitudinal. Un premier marqueur et un second marqueur disposés sur le cathéter sont disposés à égale distance de l~ouverture. L~ensemble comprend un ballonnet ayant une première extrémité et une deuxième extrémité, chacune étant fermée autour du cathéter et à égale distance de l~ouverture pour définir un volume de retenue entre celles-ci. L~ouverture est disposée dans le volume de retenue, plaçant de cette manière la première lumière en communication fluidique fermée avec le volume de retenue. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, l~ensemble de cathéter comprend un stent disposé autour du ballonnet, et le ballonnet est configuré pour engager le stent avec une sténose.
