An angioplasty balloon (1) including a non-deployable stent (2) to prevent or reduce the potential for slippage of the inflated balloon (1) with respect to the vessel wall being treated, the non-deployable stent (2) is adapted to be secured to the balloon (1) or angioplasty balloon catheter. The stent (2) has a proximal end (3), a distal end (4), and at least three radially-spaced struts (5), each strut (5)connecting the proximal end (3) to the distal end (4) and having one or more bends (6) that allow expansion of the strut (5) to accommodate the inflation of the balloon (1). The stent (2) is made of a material so that the stent collapses upon deflation of the balloon (1).
La présente invention concerne un ballonnet d'angioplastie comprenant un stent non déployable qui permet d'empêcher ou réduire le risque que le ballonnet gonflé glisse par rapport à la paroi du vaisseau à traiter. Le ballonnet précité comprend un stent non déployable qui est apte à être fixé sur le ballonnet ou sur le cathéter d'angioplastie à ballonnet.
