ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A clamp in a shape of a band of metal has a first end portion overlapping a second end portion, with the first end portion lying to the exterior of the second. Complementary fastening structures are provided on the two end portions, and the second end portion extends beyond its respective fastening device to terminate in a bent-up part shaped as an outwardly directed T. The first end portion has a longitudinal slot with a width at least as large as that of the stem of the T, and the slot is long enough to permit the ends to be fastened together when the bent-up part lies in the slot.
