Method and apparatus for tying bundles with baleband made of paper pulp fibers and water-soluble adhesive. The machine (10) is positioned transverse to a conveyor (13) which bundles are into posiition for tying. The machine (10) includes a track (20) for guiding the baleband (58) around the bundle (107), applying water to the forward end of the baleband (107), clamping the forward end (59) of the baleband (58), tightening the baleband (58) around the bundle (107), pressing the forward end (59) against an overlapped portion of the baleband while heating the end of the baleband (58) to seal the ends together, and releasing the bundle (107) for unloading from the conveyor (13).
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil servant à nouer des ballots à l'aide d'une bande en fibre de pulpe de papier et d'un adhésif soluble dans l'eau.
