A banknote handling device capable of positioning and stopping a banknote at a constant position as accurately as possible without jamming of any banknote. A projection (32) is disposed so as to curve a side of the banknote carried in a slit (9) and the radius of curvature of the curve portion is gradually increased as the banknote (b) is carried toward the downstream side in the slit (9).

L'invention concerne un dispositif de manipulation de billets de banque permettant de positionner et de bloquer, aussi précisément que possible, un billet de banque sur une position constante sans qu'aucun billet ne reste coincé. Une partie saillante (32) est disposée de façon qu'elle incurve un côté du billet introduit dans une fente (9). Le rayon de courbure d'une partie incurvée est graduellement augmenté à mesure que le billet (B) est introduit vers le côté aval de la fente (9).
