A barbecue grill and cart assembly having a firebox for cooking food including a heat source therein and a firebox support assembly for receiving and supporting the firebox. In one embodiment the grill and cart apparatus of the present invention includes a fuel source support platform and a fuel source support guard to facilitate storage of a fuel source on the grill and cart assembly. In one embodiment the grill and cart assembly comprises a warming rack fixed to the firebox. Also, in an embodiment, the grill and cart assembly of the present invention comprises a folding shelf extending from the firebox support and movable between an extended position and a retracted position. 11
