- 11 - ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A barbeque has a base and a hollow column extending upwardly from the base to an upper housing, which may comprise a housing body and a lid. A firebox is provided within the housing for charcoal or other fuel and is perforated to permit combustion air to pass therethrough. A fan is provided at a lower end of the column, for drawing air up through the column and forcing it through into the upper body and hence through the firebox, for promoting combustion of the fuel.
