A system (10) for discouraging and inhibiting marine growth onto a boat's underwater hull surface comprising a plurality of sections of foam filled PVC pipe (11) tied together to form a flotation frame, an envelope (17) of flexible, polyethylene bubble wrap material of a size and shape to enclose the underwater part of a boat's hull, and affixed to and supported by the flotation frame, a sprinkler hose (14) affixed to the flotation frame for injecting fresh water for washing the boat's underwater hull, and a plurality of drain/check valves (15) mounted in the envelope (17) for eliminating the washdown water in the envelope.

Ce système (10), destiné à dissuader et empêcher la croissance d'organismes marins sur la surface immergée de la coque d'un bateau, comprend une pluralité de sections de tuyau (11) en PVC remplis de mousse, attachées ensemble afin de former un cadre de flottaison, une enveloppe (17) de matériau d'emballage en polyéthylène souple à bulles, de dimension et de forme suffisantes pour entourer la partie immergée de la coque du bateau, laquelle enveloppe est fixée au cadre et supportée par celui-ci, un tuyau (14) d'arrosage fixé au cadre de flottaison afin d'injecter de l'eau douce pour laver la coque immergée du bateau, ainsi qu'une pluralité de clapets (15) d'évacuation/de retenue montés dans l'enveloppe (17) afin d'évacuer l'eau de lavage contenue dans l'enveloppe.
