A process of preparing an oxygen barrier coating using a compound of the general formula R a X3-a Si-Z-SiX3-a R a, wherein Z is R'NH(R'NH)p R', each R is selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom and a hydrocarbon group, each X is selected from the group consisting of an alkoxy group with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a halogen atom, an oxime group or an acyloxy group, each R' is a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms;a is from 0 to 3 and p is 0 or 1. The invention further comprises compositions incorporating the above compound. Coatings prepared may be used in packaging applications as a top coat, or a primer for further coatings.
Procédé de préparation d'un revêtement constituant une isolation par rapport à l'oxygène au moyen d'un composé représenté par la formule: R>a<X>3-a<si-Z-siX>3-a<R>a< dans laquelle Z représente R'NH(R'NH)>p<R', chaque R étant sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par un atome d'hydrogène et par un groupe hydrocarbure, chaque X étant sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par un groupe alcoxy possédant 1 à 4 atomes de carbone, un atome d'halogène, un groupe oxime ou un groupe acyloxy, chaque R' représentant un groupe hydrocarbure divalent possédant 1 à 12 atomes de carbone; <i>a</i> est 0 à 3 et <i>p</i> est 0 à 1. L'invention concerne, de plus, des compositions incorporant ce composé. On peut mettre en application les revêtements obtenus dans des emballages en tant que couche de revêtement supérieur ou couche de base pour d'autres revêtements.
