A barrier head bolt for use in power feeder applications including a main bolt portion and an extended torque head portion, the torque head portion designed and constructed to shear off the main body of the bolt at a predetermined torque, and which projects above the main body portion a sufficient distance so as to inhibit or prevent the application of a joint sleeve without first shearing off the extended torque head portion of the bolt, thus ensuring that the joint is properly tightened.
Il s'agit d'un boulon à tête à barrière pour applications aux artères d'alimentation, comprenant une partie principale de boulon et une partie prolongée de tête à couple. Cette dernière partie est conçue et fabriquée pour cisailler le corps principal du boulon selon un couple prédéterminé. Ladite partie prolongée se projette au-dessus de la partie du corps principal, à une distance suffisante pour empêcher l'application d'un manchon de jonction, sans cisailler d'abord la partie prolongée de tête à couple du boulon, ce qui assure un bon serrage à la jonction.
