- 14 - ABSTRACT A barrier to be installed on a ground surface consists of an elongate panel shaped into an upwardly convex configuration as seen in transverse cross-section. The lower most longitudinal edges of the panel are seated in furrows in the ground surface to retain the barrier in place. The barrier may be installed by forming at least two parallel furrows in the ground, forming a running length of barrier material into the upwardly convex shape and seating opposite longitudinal edges of the barrier material into the respective furrows. The furrows are then closed on the edges of the barrier material. An apparatus for performing this method is disclosed, as are various embodiments of the barrier.
