Selon l'invention, afin d'approcher la puissance de transmission de la première tranche de temps d'une puissance de transmission idéale, lors de la reprise d'une transmission suspendue, on estime la puissance de transmission de la ligne aval immédiatement avant la reprise et on envoie une commande de puissance de transmission en utilisant le signal de la ligne amont une tranche plus tôt. La vitesse de convergence le ladite commande est accrue, ce qui améliore la qualité du signal de l'utilisateur ou réduit la puissance des interférences avec un autre utilisateur.
