The invention provides a thermosetting aqueous basecoat coating composition with a pigment to binder ratio of at least about 0.5 that includes a polyurethane polymer, an acrylic polymer, and a crosslinking component that is reactive with at least one of the polyurethane polymer and the acrylic polymer. The polyurethane polymer has a glass transition temperature of 0~C or less. The acrylic polymer has a glass transition temperature that is at least about 20~C higher than the glass transition temperature of polyurethane resin. The invention further provides a composite coating on a substrate having as a basecoat layer a cured layer of the basecoat composition of the invention and having at least one clearcoat layer over the basecoat layer.
La présente invention concerne une composition de couche d'apprêt aqueuse thermodurcissable avec un rapport pigment/liant au moins environ égal à 0,5. Cette composition comprend un polymère polyuréthanne, un polymère acrylique et un composant de réticulation qui réagit avec le polymère polyuréthanne et/ou le polymère acrylique. Le polymère polyuréthanne possède une température de transition vitreuse de 0?0¿C, voire une température inférieure. Le polymère acrylique possède une température de transition vitreuse qui est au moins supérieure de 20?0¿C à celle de la résine polyuréthanne. Cette invention concerne aussi un revêtement composite sur un substrat possédant comme couche d'apprêt une couche durcie de la composition de couche d'apprêt de l'invention et possédant au moins une couche transparente sur cette couche d'apprêt.
