ABSTRACT The present invention relates to salts with basic amino sugars or basis amino acids of certain carboxy or 2-tetra- solo-chromones. These compounds exhibit pharmacological properties in that they are antagonists of the slow-reacting substance of anaphylaxis (SRS-A) or its pathological effects. The compounds are thus useful in the treatment of disorders in which SRS-A is a factor, for example skin afflictions, hayfever, and obstructive diseases of the airways, such as asthma. Amino cold and amino sugar salts of the present invention are more soluble than the corresponding alkali- metal salts, thereby permitting the administration of higher concentrations of active ingredients to the patient. Moreover, the salts of the present invention overcome the problem of cloudiness which develops when corresponding alkali-metal salts are left to stand for some time.
