ABSTRACT this invention relates to 3,4-aihydro-2H-isoquinoline- l-ones of the formula (X) Image wherein X1 represents hydrogen, a saturated or unsaturated, sraight-chained or branched alkyl radical having 1 to 6 car- bon atoms or the phenyl radical, R2 represents a dialkylamino- alkyl radical of the formula Image wherein A represents a straight-chained or branched low mole- cular alkylene group and R5 and R6 are identical or different and represent straight-chained or branched, low molecular alkyl radicals and may form together with the nitrogen atom a 5-, 6- or 7-membered ring, wherein one of the hydrocarbons is substituted by a hetero atom which may be substituted with hydrogen, C1-C4 - alkyl or the phenyl radical, R3 and R4 are identical or dif- ferent and represent hydrogen or a lower alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and the physiologically tolerable salts thereof. The compounds have an antiarrhythmic activity and are suitable for treating disturbances of cardiac rhythm.
