A heat transfer element basket assembly (36) for a rotary regenerative heat exchanger (10) having a basket framework including oppositely disposed first and second side shells (76), means for holding the side shells in a spaced relationship, and heat absorbent material is disposed within the framework. The inboard end portions (88) of first and second substantially planar flange plates (84) are mounted to the outboard end portions of the first and second side shells (76), respectively. The outboard end portions (92) of the first and second flange plates (84) are each mounted to an adjacent diaphragm plate (34) to install the basket asembly (36) in the heat exchanger rotor (14). The first and second side shells (76) of the basket assemblies define an angle therebetween which is substantially equal to the angle of the diaphragm plates (34).

L'invention concerne un ensemble panier (36) d'élément de transfert thermique destiné à un échangeur thermique régénératif rotatif (10) possédant un cadre de panier possédant des première et seconde enveloppes latérales (76) disposées de façon opposée, des moyens destinés à maintenir les enveloppes latérales espacées, et un matériau anticalorifique est placé à l'intérieur du cadre. Les parties d'extrémité intérieure (88) des première et seconde plaques à rebord sensiblement plates (84) sont montées sur les parties d'extrémité extérieure respectivement des première et seconde enveloppes latérales (76). Les parties d'extrémité extérieure (92) des première et seconde plaques à rebord sensiblement plates (84) sont chacune montées sur une plaque diaphragme adjacente (34) en vue d'installer l'ensemble panier (36) dans le rotor de l'échangeur thermique (14).
