A basketball target training device for improving the shooting skills of basketball players is disclosed. The present device is attachable at any position on the rim of the basketball goal by means of an annular collar clamp, which is coupled to an elongated support member fabricated from a resilient material. The support member includes a plurality of apertures formed therein and arranged linearly at predetermined intervals to provide for attachment of a plurality of target discs thereon. The present target training device is adjustable in the range of 0À to 90À relative to the horizontal plane of the rim and is also adjustable in the vertical dimension above the rim to provide for players of various heights. When the target device is hit by an incoming basketball, the target disc moves out of the way as the basketball hits it causing it to be deflected and immediately springs back to its original position.
