ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A basketball goal apparatus having a hoop and net goal supported in a plane parallel to the floor by four legs depending from the goal. Four net standards are secured to respective legs at a point spaced below the plane of the goal and extend upwardly at an angle through said plane to a point spaced above the goal for supporting a netting. The netting is disposed in three orthogonal side planes defined by the ends of the standards and surround the rim. A ball return platform positioned beneath the goal is tilted with respect to normal for returning the ball to the player.
