A basketball system is disclosed having a ballasted base, an adjustable support system comprising two pole sections, a backboard, a hoop structure, and a net. They include an upper pole section and a lower pole section, and may be operated either telescopically or non-telescopically. The base has a first socket that receives the lower pole section, and a second socket is sized to receive the upper pole section when the system is operated in the non- telescoping mode. The hoop structure is provided with a neck flange for attaching the hoop structure to a recess in the upper telescoping pole section. The net is attached to the hoop structure by a net retention hoop on which the net is threadedly engaged.
Système de basketball qui comporte une base lestée, un support réglable comprenant deux parties de poteau, un panneau, une structure en forme de cerceau et un filet. Les parties de poteau comportent un partie supérieure et une partie inférieure et peuvent être utilisées télescopiquement ou non. La base possède un premier culot destiné à recevoir la partie inférieure de poteau et un second culot possède des dimensions telles qu'il peut accueillir la partie supérieure de poteau lorsque le système est utilisé de manière non télescopique. La structure en cerceau est dotée d'une bride permettant de fixer ladite structure dans un évidement situé dans la partie supérieure télescopique de poteau. Le filet est attaché à la structure en cerceau par un cerceau de retenue sur lequel est enfilé le filet.
