The invention is a basketball training device/ aid designed to keep the user's hand, and in particular the fingers, in the proper spread position to correctly shoot and release a basketball. The invention will enable the wearer to handle a basketball without restriction and enable the development of greater confidence and mastery of a primary skill associated with the sport of basketball. The basketball shooting aid is made of a material that will adapt to individual fit, and be worn comfortably at the base of the four fingers of the dominant hand. The design of the invention encourages proper separation of the fingers maximizing the range of contact with a ball and, through continued use, will alter past habits and develop correct habits.
