The present invention relates to a mass exchange process, in which, in two or more contact stages, two or more liquid or gaseous phases are brought into contact with one another, one or more components being transferred between the phases and the phases moving countercurrently with respect to the overall configuration of the process, characterized in that the flow through one or more of the contact stages is batchwise for one phase and continuous for another phase. A mass exchange process of this nature can be used instead of the conventional steady-state, countercurrent processes with continuous/continuous flow. The process according to the invention makes it possible to obtain considerably improved performance. This process is suitable in particular for distillation, extraction and washing processes.
La présente invention concerne un procédé d'échange de masse dans lequel, dans au moins deux étages de contact, au moins deux phases liquides ou gazeuses sont mises en contact l'une avec l'autre, une ou plusieurs composantes étant transférées entre les phases et les phases se déplaçant en contre-courant par rapport à la configuration globale du procédé, caractérisé en ce que le flux à travers un plusieurs des étages de contact s'effectue par lots pour une phase et est continu pour une autre phase. Un procédé d'échange de masse de cette nature peut être utilisé à la place des procédés à contre-courant en régime permanent classique avec écoulement continu/continu. Le procédé de l'invention permet d'obtenir un rendement considérablement accru. Ce procédé est notamment adapté à des procédés de distillation, d'extraction et de lavage.
