ABSTRACT A bath tub, particularly for use by patients and old people, has a foot-rest 10 and a back-rest 11 for partitioning its bathing space 7, and hand grips 12. The foot-rest 10 and the hand grips 12 are disposed within the bath tub 1 inside the outer rim 9 of the edge portions 8 or the tub and that the back-rest 11 is anchored outside the bathing space and projects outwardly therefrom, a narrow portion thereof extending in class relation to the outer rim 9 of the edge portion.
