A bathtub suitable for accommodating two human bodies side-by-side. The bathtub comprises a vessel with an enlarged end portion dimensioned to receive side-by-side the backs of two persons adopting a sitting posture. The other extremity of the vessel is narrower yet of sufficient size to hold the feet of the occupants. The resulting wedge configuration allows to nest a toilet against the bathtub. This bathtub configuration is particularly suitable for use in bathrooms with space limitations, particularly those originally designed for single occupancy constant width bathtubs.
