Abstract It is difficult to read in the bathtub. It is awkward to hold the book or magazine and the pages get wet when they are turned. This invention, a bathtub reader, allows a person to read a book in the bathtub without having to hold it and to turn the pages without getting them wet. The book holder sits on a base which extends the width of the bathtub. It is basically a rectangular box with no top and with a portion of the front cut away in a way that facilitates ease in turning the pages. The front book holders are made of a see through substance so printing on that part of the page that is covered by the holders may be read through the holders. The holders at the front extend only part way across and are raised about 2.5 cm from the base. In this manner the book or magazine is securely held but the pages can be easily turned. The pages are turned by a lever arm device and a grabbing device which is operated manually with through a handel from below the base of the bathtub reader. The lever arm is secured at a pivot point at one end behind the book holder. It is further stabilized by a guiding device (guider) which moves in a semi-circle and stabilizes the lever arm about three sevenths of the way up the lever arm. A grabbing device (grabber) operates in much of the remainder of the lever arm. It is designed to slide along the lever arm and extends upward through the base, which has been cut out where required, to grip by means of various types of gripping devices (grippers), the pages of the book one at a time. The grabber, in conjunction with the lever arm and adjustable bar, allows the pages to be secured, turned and then released. A two sided sticky tape, very small "burrs" or a small suction cup comprise part of the gripper which is located at the top of the grabber and holds the page while the page is being turned. An adjustable bar (nut and bolt) across the top part of the book holder on the left hand side, in conjunction with a twist of the wrist, allows the page to be released. Specification This invention relates to a bathtub reading device which consists of a base, a book or magazine holder and to a manually operated device for turning, one at a time, pages of a book or magazine. Bathtub caddies which extend across the bathtub and are used to hold a bathers creams, shampoos, conditioners etc. are available on the market and come in various shapes and sizes. The bathtub reader allows a person to conveniently read in the bathtub by, in effect, placing a book or magazine holder of original design on a sturdy base (caddy) and adapting a page turner of original design and a "burr" grabber of original design. A holder, such as the one used in the invention, does not exist, nor does a manual page turner such as the one used in the invention. While two sided sticky tape and suction cups exist the "burr" used as part of the page grabber does not. Nowhere does a bathtub reader, which is a combination of a base (caddy), book holder and page turner (which is controlled manually from below the base) exist. No way currently exists to easily read in the bathtub. The book holder on a base in conjunction with the page turner and grabber makes it easy and enjoyable to read in the bathtub by holding a book or magazine and enabling the pages to be turned with wet hands
