The invention can be summarized as follows. According to the present invention there is provided a bathtub splash-retaining assembly comprising, a) a water-guiding splash curtain; b) two shower wall attachment brackets; c) a fastening system capable of attaching the water-guiding splash curtain to the brackets, and; d) one or more bathtub-rim water-retaining strips which when combined in length are capable of extending about the length of the bathtub. The bathtub splash retaining assembly may also comprise a second fastening system for reversibly securing the water-guiding splash curtain to the bathtub-rim water-retaining strip.
