A shelf for a bathtub wall, of which the shelf has a planar body, at least two retention members extending from the planar body at, or near, one edge thereof, and a support member opposable to the retention members into abutment along the height of an opposite side of the bathtub wall, lower than the retention members. The surface of the bathtub shelf, can be provided with a marker-board type surface, to allow writing and drawing with erasable markers thereon.
