In order to make it possible to use more safely a battery comprising a plurality of cells, an outer packaging container receiving the cells, a terminal plate sealing the upper opening in the outer packaging container, and a positive output terminal and a negative output terminal that are installed on the same surface of the terminal plate, at least the side surface of the negative output terminal is covered with a protective sleeve of electric insulation.

Selon cette invention, afin qu'il soit possible d'utiliser de façon plus sûre une batterie comprenant une pluralité de cellules, on utilise un contenant d'emballage externe renfermant les cellules, une plaque à bornes venant sceller l'ouverture supérieure dans le contenant d'emballage, et une borne de sortie positive ainsi qu'une borne de sortie négative disposées sur la même surface que la plaque à bornes, la surface latérale au moins de la borne de sortie négative étant recouverte d'une enveloppe protectrice d'isolation électrique.
