A switch installed to battery booster cables provides a means for direct connection to, or disconnection from two D.C. storage batteries in the absence of an electric current, in a non-sequential procedure. The invention comprises a two component plastic case (12,14) having an integral snap-on feature (20, 22, 24) for fastening the negative cable (200) A two component positive switch terminal (26, 28), the opposite ends (30, 32) fasten the positive cable. A negative terminal (38, 40) connected to a lighting element (44), having a positive and negative conductor (46, 48). A three component switch control assembly (56, 58, 60). An alternate method of positive cable attachment (FIG. 5). To operate the switch, a spring loaded, metal based plastic button component of the switch control assembly is depressed, contacting and bridging the components of the positive switch terminal, and the positive conductor of the lighting element, completing the electrical circuit, confirmed by viewing the illuminated lighting element through a translucent disc (52) on the case. The circuit is broken by releasing the button and observing the extinguished lighting element.
