The invention relates to a method, a control unit (10) and a battery system for calculating a resulting capacity of a battery (15) during operation. The possibility to estimate the remaining energy in a battery being unloaded is useful to determine the remaining operational time of the battery before the battery must be recharged or replaced. The invention comprises a compact and fast method, divided into two parts. A first part generates a table from at least two measured discharge curves. Certain calculations are then made and the final values are normalized before they are entered into the table. A second part comprises a supervision part in which the voltage, discharge current and discharge time of the battery are measured and registered at certain intervals. By utilizing the table and the measured values a resulting capacity is calculated, which is adjusted in a subsequent step by iteration of the resulting capacity and the average final voltage of the battery.
Procédé, unité de commande (10) et système de batterie permettant de calculer la capacité résultante d'une batterie (15) pendant son fonctionnement. La possibilité d'évaluer l'énergie restante dans une batterie pendant la décharge de celle-ci est utile pour déterminer la durée utile de fonctionnement de la batterie avant qu'elle ne doive être rechargée ou remplacée. Le procédé utilisé, qui est rapide et ne comporte que peu d'étapes, se divise en deux parties. Dans la première partie, on crée une table à partir d'au moins deux courbes de décharge mesurées. Ensuite, on effectue certains calculs et on normalise les valeurs finales avant de les introduire dans la table. La deuxième partie comprend une partie de surveillance dans laquelle on mesure et on enregistre à des intervalles données la tension, le courant de décharge et le temps de décharge de la batterie. En utilisant la table et les valeurs mesurées, on calcule une capacité résultante, qui est ajustée dans une étape ultérieure par itération de la capacité résultante et de la tension finale moyenne de la batterie.
