ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A battery discharge indicator device for use on battery powered mining haulage vehicles is provided which automatically monitors the discharge condition of each of the battery supply sources provided on a mining haulage vehicle. The battery discharge indicator provides a continuously flashing lamp indication when any of the battery supply sources discharges to a predetermined level required to power the mining haulage vehicle to a charging station. A momentary flashing indication is further provided when the discharged battery source or sources are replaced with charged battery sources thereby indicating to the operator that the battery powered mining vehicle is ready for use. The indicator device includes circuits connected to each of said battery supply sources, operational amplifiers arranged to act as voltage comparators in each of said circuits, optical links connected to each of said voltage comparators arranged to provide electrical isolation between each of said voltage comparators, indicator devices connected with said voltage comparators for actuating said flashing lamp and timers connected between said optical links and voltage comparators. This invention is distin- guishable from others by the circuits incorporating the voltage comparator and the optical links in connection therewith and the arrangement of the circuits providing electrical isolation between the voltage comparators.
